LVPq

Steam Boiler - VAPOPREX LVPq

Low pressure reverse flame saturated steam boilers, packaged steel structure with pressurised combustion and high energy efficiency. Suitable for both liquid and gaseous fuels.

  • 6 sizes with heat outputs from 101 kW to 671 kW.
  • Standard design pressure 0.98 bars.
  • Steam production from 161 to 1,070 kg/h F&A 100°C feed water.
  • The door is hinged to the tube plate; and insulated on the inside with a layer of refractory concrete and covers the entire heated surface of the tube plate.
  • Amply sized evaporating chamber with large heat exchange area for the production of high quality saturated steam.
  • Cooled end plate.
  • The water circuit can be inspected through a manhole at the top of the boiler and a hand opening ring at the bottom.
  • Heat loss to the surrounding environment is minimised by a layer of high-density mineral wool on the boiler body, attached so to avoid thermal bridges, protected by stainless steel plate (AISI 430).
  • All parts subject to pressure are welded by qualified and IIS approved personnel, to standards EN 15614 and EN 287.

LVP

  • 15 sizes with heat outputs from 105 kW to 3,467 kW
  • Standard design pressures 12 bar.g and 14.8 bar.g(higher pressure available on request).
  • Steam production from 167 to 5,530 kg/h F&A 100°C feed water.
  • The door is hinged to the tube plate; and insulated on the inside with a layer of refractory concrete and covers the entire heated surface of the tube plate.

Suitable for both liquid and gaseous fuels.

  • 5 sizes with useful heat outputs from 694 kW to 2,035 kW.
  • Standard design pressures 12 bar.g and 15 bar.g (higher pressure available on request).
  • Steam production from 1,107 kg/h to 3,246 kg/h F&A 100°C feed water.
  • Amply sized evaporating chamber with large heat exchange area for the production of high quality saturated steam.
  • Burner fixed to the burner anchor plate.
  • Tube bundle can be cleaned through front and rear inspection doors and access to the furnace can be gained by removing the rear cover plate.
  • Heat loss to the surrounding environment is minimised by a layer of high-density mineral wool insulation on the boiler body.
  • The water circuit can be inspected through oval-shaped manholes and head holes.

  • Tube bundle can be cleaned without removing the burner, by simply opening the two front and two rear doors. Access to the furnace is gained by removing the rear cover plate.

Economiser

Steam Boiler Accessory - EconomiserFlue gas-water heat exchanger made up of steel or stainless steel tube divided into serpentine coil sections. The isolated casing is arranged with a conical connection to the chimney and can be offered as integral with the boiler or as a stand-alone unit with a conical connection to the boiler flue outlet flange. The economiser utilities the heat from flue gas, which would otherwise be lost, to preheat the boiler feed water. An increase of 4-5% in the boiler efficiency can be gained.

Automatic Blow Down Valve

Steam Boiler Accessory - Automatic Blow Down ValveIt is a statutory requirement for all boilers to be fitted with a Bottom Blowdown Valve and for this valve to be operated daily to clear the bottom of the boiler of suspended matter; this can either be done manually or automatically.

This system automates the operation of the Bottom Blowdown Valve, using compressed air as the control medium.

The Auto Bottom Blowdown System Consists of:

  • Automatic pneumatic blow down valve with manual lever setting
  • Controller
  • Filter for three way electro valve.
  • Three-way pilot valve for compressed air
  • Mini air compressor (optional see extra price)

During the supply of make-up water into the system, the amount of suspended matter in the boiler increases. These substances settle out on the bottom of the boiler and have to be removed at regular intervals.

The pilot valve operates the actuator of the blowdown valve using compressed air; its opening frequency and duration are controlled by the controller, which has adjustable impulse and break periods.

Automatic TDS Control

Steam Boiler Accessory - Automatic TDS ControlThe Auto TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) System is used to automatically control the build-up of salts in the water within the boiler. As water is evaporated from the boiler it leaves behind and concentrates these salts which; if left unchecked would eventually cause problems with the operation of the boiler such as foaming and priming.

The Auto TDS System Consists of:

  • Controller
  • Sensor
  • Solenoid valve or with pneumatic actuator

The controller tests the conductivity of the water within the boiler and monitors / controls the concentration of the total dissolved solids (TDS) in the boiler. It does this by comparing the electrical conductivity of the boiler water with the set point selected on the controller front panel and taking the following actions:

  • If the conductivity is lower than the set point, the controller keeps the blowdown valve closed.
  • If the conductivity is higher than the set point, the valve opens, allowing the concentrated boiler water to be replaced by clean make-up water.
  • If the conductivity of the boiler water drops below the set point, the valve will be closed.

B.E.C.S.

BMS 24H EUROPE

This system will provide exemption from continuous supervision for up to 24 hours in accordance with UNI TS 11325-3, EN 12953-6 and TRD604, comprising of :

  • 2 failsafe minimum level safety probes.
  • 1 conductivity maximum level probe, complete with controller.

BMS 72H EUROPE

This system when used in conjunction with the BECS will provide exemption from continuous supervision for up to 72 hours in accordance with UNI TS 11325-3, EN 12953-6 and TRD604, comprising of :

  • Continuous boiler water control system (TDS), consisting of:
    • Bleed controller (230/115V – 50/60 Hz)
    • 300 mm conductivity control probe
    • Filter for 3-way solenoid valves
    • Top drain valve with pneumatic actuator
    • 3-way solenoid valve, NC, 24 Vac
    • Shut-off valve

Steam Boiler Accessory - Atmospheric Deaerator - VRDAtmospheric Deaerator – VRD 

Complete with the steam pre-heating system the VRD is an atmospheric degassing vessel at atmospheric pressure, designed to degasify the make-up cold water and the condensate return. Maximum water outlet temperature 90 / 95°C.

Steam Boiler Accessory - Pressurized Thermal Deaerator DGSTPressurised Thermal Deaerator DGST 

The DGST is a pressurised thermal degassing unit working at a positive pressure of 0.1 to 0.45 bar.g, designed to degasify the cold water make-up and the condensate return. The unit is exempt from PED requirements regarding testing and is complete with a vertical cylindrical degassing turret.

Specification:

  • Max working pressure 0.45 bar
  • Deaerator temperature 105-110°C
  • Residual oxygen < 0,05 ppm (under steady state conditions)
  • Version with raised platform (optional)

Blow Down Vessel – BDV

Steam Boiler Accessory - Blow Down Vessel - BDVAtmospheric blow down vessel complete with cooling water system to reduce the boiler blow down and drain temperature before they enter the main drain. The system is required in the UK by the HSE guideline PM60
